Beware the catchy song! :-)

The song is called "Accio Deathly Hallows", but it was written a few days before HP7 came out so it is totally spoiler-free!
Unfortunately I didn't find it until yesterday. I already finished the book a few days ago, but the song is fun anyway!

and when I logged on to livejournal half an hour ago, the first thing that jumped into my sight was lifeafterharry. Maybe I'll have a look in their after this post :)

I will miss the "waiting for the next book", but at least I can look forward to two more movies.

Es war einmal ein Schäfer, der in einer einsamen Gegend seine Schafe hütete. Plötzlich tauchte in einer großen Staubwolke ein nagelneuer Cherokee Jeep auf und hielt direkt neben ihm.
Der Fahrer des Jeeps, ein junger Mann in Brioni Anzug, Cerutti Schuhen, Ray Ban Sonnenbrille und einer YSL Krawatte steigt aus und fragt ihn: "Wenn ich errate, wie viele Schafe sie haben, bekomme ich dann eins?"
Der Schäfer schaut den jungen Mann an, dann seine friedlich grasenden Schafe, und sagt ruhig "In Ordnung."
Der junge Mann parkt den Jeep, verbindet sein Notebook mit dem Handy, geht im Internet auf eine NASA Seite, scannt die Gegend mit Hilfe seines GPS Satellitennavigationssystems, öffnet eine Datenbank und 60 Excel Tabellen mit einer Unmenge Formeln. Schließlich druckt er einen 150seitigen Bericht auf seinem Hi-Tech Minidrucker, dreht sich zu dem Schäfer um und sagt: "Sie haben hier exakt 1586 Schafe."
Der Schäfer sagt "Das ist richtig, suchen Sie sich ein Schaf aus."
Der junge Mann nimmt ein Schaf und lädt es in den Jeep ein. Der Schäfer schaut ihm zu und sagt: "Wenn ich ihren Beruf errate, geben Sie mir das Schaf dann zurück?"
Der junge Mann antwortet: "Klar, warum nicht."
Der Schäfer sagt: "Sie sind ein Unternehmensberater."
"Das ist richtig, woher wissen Sie das?" will der junge Mann wissen.
"Sehr einfach," sagt der Schäfer, "erstens kommen sie hierher, obwohl sie niemand hergerufen hat. Zweitens wollen Sie ein Schaf als Bezahlung haben dafür, dass Sie mir etwas sagen, was ich ohnehin schon weiß, und drittens haben Sie keine Ahnung von dem, was ich mache, denn Sie haben sich meinen Hund ausgesucht."

Main characters:

Auron: A young man of a unknown race (who obviously has some bad memories of his childhood?). He has just returned to Cibarra City after taking a five year absence, and it seems that he has missed a few things and now has to make up lost time�	Amber: A reptile mount that has been Auron's mount since she was able to carry him and his friend since she was hatched. She's free to go wherever she wants whenever she wants, but prefers to stick close by him in case he needs her. She often likes to act like she ignores him (much like a cat does) and seams to be contrary to his instructions at times. But when it comes down to it, she's as loyal as they come.
Riana: An 18-year-old human girl who was just having a day out with her best friend Jenna and her little brother Tom at the race track when she lost track of Tom and ran into someone else.	Tom: Riana's little brother. Just as many 11-year-old boys he's quite curious. When he and his sister went out for a day at the race track, he spots a red sprinter which is rare to see and goes off on his own.
Jenna: A non-human friend of Riana who seems to dislike Rianas tardiness.

My humble opinion:
Actually this comic is quite new to me and it has only 18 pages up to now, but I like the art and the way the story is told so far.

Wikipedia - English language confusing me ^^

I just browsed through some wikipedia articles when I stumpled over the following sentence in an article about the voice actor Kali Troy

She was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada when she studied journalism at Clark Atlanta University.

At first I thought I could have read something wrong. But when I read it twice it was the same. Reading it again makes no difference.
When I translate this sentence to my language, it means that this girl already had been studying journalism at Clark Atlanta University when she was born?!

Now my question to native speakers who might or might not read my journal:
Do I just lack experience with the Englisch language and it means something completely different? ^^

Story:
Chelsea Reid is a college student on summer break who had no idea what she was getting herself into when she opened the door and let her cat in on a stormy night so many days ago. What came in was a cat, her cat and not. What followed was even more bizarre and truly alien. A blue skinned alien named Lexx broke in attempting to reclaim his game piece, the cat. Reluctant to take the cat by force, he made a deal in which Chel agreed to loan him the cat if she could come along to see the space ship. Thus began Chel's introduction to the elaborate game known as "Alien Dice". It’s a game more complex than it initially appears. Animals are bonded to dice and uplifted with unnatural intelligence and abilities to fight and capture others of their kind or merely to entertain their masters. Or at least that was how the game was described to Chel...

Main characters:
Chelsea, usually referred to as simply Chel, is your average girl next door. She's never been popular, just the girl that's always there to help out when it's needed. Opinionated and a bit quick to jump to conclusions with passionate effort, she's wound up in the game through her cat Mittens, which was turned into a dice by Lexx on his first day to the planet.

Lexx, as he prefers to be called is the alien in question who's playing the game. What is Alien Dice? He knows all too well. It's a serious game to him in which his life is in the balance. If he loses, he either becomes a slave to whomever beats him in battle or dies. He would prefer to die. So far, he's almost completed the game,... but no-one has completed it before and the forces against him are rising.

Zeta, one of the living dice of the game, the Fire Dice is Lexx's starting Dice. Unlike Lexx's other dice, when Lexx started a new set he rolled him on the ship so he's never merged with any creature other than his original.

Stealth is Lexx's Strategy Die, bond to Chel's cat Mittens. She is one to hide to have the advantage in a situation. Silence and concealment is her specialty in combat. When not having to fight other dice Stealth goes about her favorite hobby of trying to find out about everything and anything. This makes her valued as a great source of information. She is the only one of Lexx's Dice to know all the rules of the game.

My humble opinion:
One reason for me to like this comoic is my soft spot for angsty characters. Another reason is the wonderfull creatures Syke creates for the various dice.
But there's one thing to say... If you want to completely understand the first pages, I recommend to read the text below. It tells the same story but often gives a bit more background information.

I'll try too better myself a bit... Maybe I can introduce two webcomics this month in exchange.

Anyway since I can't promis that:

Story:
After 1000 years of war between the Haeloar and the Lemiroar, two of six different races of the world, there's little hope that it will ever end. That's when Nesshin and Shinwa, a pair with mysterious pasts, collect people in various ways to build a group of six with initially unknown purpose. But when they discover an easy solution, should they use it?
Contains bishies, light humor, and a hint of shounen-ai.

Main characters:
Hanayaka: Hana, though she is sometimes overshadowed by a few of the other characters, is the main character. She's a Haeloar and very prejudiced against the Lemiroar, but she's got her reasons. Hana's got a lot of pent up aggression. She hates being used more than anything, and possesses her share of internal turmoil. No one really expects her to think twice about killing, and maybe they're right.

Nesshin: Nesshin, quite opposite to Hana, is good-natured, open-minded, and usually doesn't hold a grudge for longer than ten minutes. He perhaps is a little too nice for his own good, and can be rather naive. Although considered by many as one of the most powerful mages alive, he still has serious issues with controlling and limiting his power, and the results are usually explosive. He prefers to keep to himself about his past, and will go out of his way to avoid discussing it.
He's romantically related to Shinwa.

Shinwa: Shin is an incredibly secretive person. No one really knows much about him at all, and he'd like to keep it that way. He has the outward appearance of your average nonchalant, charismatic, carefree bard. But as Hana's starting to figure out, he's not exactly who he's claiming he is. He's not someone you want to mess with, and he makes this point very clear. He's fiercely loyal to whatever cause he devotes himself to. Few know him well, and he doesn't like staying in one place for too long. He keeps his past, his true emotions, his purpose, and his identity hidden from all but a few.

Kawaru: Kawaru's highly devoted to her religion and refuses to hear second opinions on the subject. Stubborn, strong-willed, and perhaps a little haughty at times, she has a strong sense of duty. Taking in Tanoshii is a perfect example. She felt obligated to take care of her since, obviously, no one else would and would've felt guilty had she just left her alone. She's one of the Lemiroar and not exactly fond of Hanayaka being in the group.

Tanoshii: Tanoshii comes off as being really stupid, that she can't make her own descisions, and that she can't remember the simplest things. She's just got a really bad memory, and no one gives her the chance to prove herself. She's a really sweet girl though, if not outwardly confused by what's going on around her. Even with a keen sense of intuition, she's easily convinced about a lot of things since she doesn't know otherwise, so those around her need to be careful what they say and do around her.

Kiyami: Mysterious, dark and always smiling, a charmer and seducer, Kiyami is somone I don't want to spoiler about.

My humble opinion:
Despite some difficulties to follow the plot at times, I still find Skyfall captivating. A focal point of my interest is the background history of Nesshin and Shinwa.
The quality of the drawing has improved to a point where Skyfall in my opinion is on equal grounds with several mangas published in print.

Well... Maybe I shouldn't have written I would give more Details later? Details of what? I didn't have a party yesterday. (Except you count a parent child afternoon with cookies and handicrafts in eileenw's kindergarten as a birthday party.)
I'm really looking forward to playing my new Sims expansions. Just sent back the one I got twice. Unfortunately the computer I'm playing on isn't good enough for The Sims 2 Pets :( The walls are flashing red and there are a lot of users in forums complaining about the same problem but the only solution seems to be a better graphics card :( Maybe I have to endure the flashing.
Eragon wasn't as good as I hoped. I knew they would shorten the stuff of the book in order to fit it into 105 minutes of movie, but there are a lot of things missing that I considered as very important. And I miss a bit of character developing. In the book Eragon had to learn fast... in the movie he has to learn faster or even just has to know intuitively because I didn't have the impression that a lot of time passed in the movie and Brom didn't get a lot of opportunities to actually teach something. But I shouldn't spoil to much... I'll stop complaining now. I liked the evening anyway :-)

Nuja, vielleicht hätte ich doch nicht schreiben sollen, dass ich später Details nennen würde. Details von was denn? Ich habe gestern nicht gefeiert. (Außer man zählt einen Eltern-Kind-Nachmittag mit Plätzchen und Basteln in eileenw's Kindergarten als Geburtstagsparty.)
Ich freu mich wirklich drauf, die Sims-Erweiterung spielen zu können. Ich habe gerade eben diejenige weggeschickt, die ich doppelt bekommen habe. Unglücklicherweise scheint allerdings der Computer auf dem ich spiele nicht gut genug für die Haustier-Erweiterung zu sein. :( Im Spiel blinken die Wände rot und in den Foren habe ich noch eine Menge andere User gelesen, die das gleiche Problem haben. Die einzige Lösung schiene eine neue Graphikkarte zu sein :( Vielleicht muss ich das Geblinke auch einfach aushalten...
Eragon war nicht so gut, wie ich es mir erhofft hatte. Ich wusste, sie würden Dinge aus dem Buch streichen müssen um den Plot in 105 Minuten Lauflänge pressen zu können, aber da fehlen so einige Sachen, die ich für äußerst wichtig gehalten hatte. Auch fehlt mir etwas an der Entwisklung der Charaktere. Im Buch musste Eragon schon schnell lernen... im Film muss er noch schneller lernen oder es sogar eher noch gleich intuitiv wissen, denn ich hatte nicht den Eindruck, dass im Film tatsächlich wirklich Zeit vergehen würde und Brom hatte wirklich nur sehr wenig Gelegenheiten, tatsächlich irgendwas zu lehren. Aber ich sollte nicht spoilen... Ich hör jetzt auf, mich zu beschweren. Ich fand den Abend trotzdem nett. :-)

1. Who is your favourite character from #2?
Depends on my mood. Sometimes I like Zuko the best, but in the final episode of book 2... How could he ever trust his sister again? In times when I can't stand Zuko's decisions, Toph is my favourite.

2. Who is your least favourite character from #4?
That would be Ishida. Although he's the one with the most stupid ideas ("Hey, let's start a competition that could destroy the hole city, so I can show you that I'm stronger than you"... and "Let's help our enemies and endanger Soul Society so I have a chance to fight too"), he's supposed to be the smartest main character?

3. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?
When I think of it, the shows have a quite similar concept. Paper magic, intangibility and invisibility could just be interpreted as special forms of alchemy or Alchemists could be seen as I-Jins. And Mr. Gentelman could have found the Philosoper's Stone and is now looking for a new body as container for his soul.
Oh, and in both of the shows some of the characters are artificial humans... another similarity ;)

4. Who is your favourite ship from #6?
Oh well... I didn't ever think of shipping here...
I really like McKays affection to Samantha Carter but I would never want them to be together. I don't like Ronon, so I'm not very fond of the Teyla/Ronon shipping the authors seem to suggest. Maybe I like Sheppard/Weir the most.

5. If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be?
3 and 6??? Er... well... uhm... I shouldn't have picked a sience fiction show with all these fantasy animes ;)
I really can't imagine any InuYasha character meeting a Stargate character. They live in completely different universes! Well... maybe if one of the Stargate characters would travel back in time? Ok... then I let Teyla travel back in time to meet Koga. That would solve my problem with Teyla/Ronon :D

6. If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be, and what would you do?
That's a tough one because I can't imagine spending a day with my favourite characters. Maybe I could just drink some sake with Matsumoto and talk about the always serios Hitsugaya.

7. If you could change one thing about #2's plotline, what would you change?
Zuko wouldn't trust his sister again. I wouldn't want him to be on the avatar's side (yet) and I think it's a bit too early for Zutara, but I don't want him to stand beside Azula neither. She will betray him again anyway. If Zuko really cares for his honor, he finally has to fight his own father.

8. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #3, and why you like the relationship between them.
I like the relationship between Sesshoumaru and Rin because it gives Sesshoumaru some humanity that he doesn't want to admit and it makes him vulnerable (I especially like that). But unlike some "Sesshy" fangirls I would never want to see him completely on the good side. No family reunion please ;)

9. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and#5 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
Who's supposed to be the lead character of R.O.D. TV? I think I have to watch the credits first. Damn. Can't read Japanese ;) Well... anyway... I fear I just wouldn't be able to drag Ed out of the water. He's too heavy with all that auto-mail metal. So I'd just save one of the paper sisters.

10. If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #6, what order would you choose?
I don't now the order of the credits and I don't mind it so I just wouldn't change it ;)

11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #4, what would the character be like and what would its role be?
Creating a character? That would mean that I'd have to be creative. Mmh. I think Bleach has almost too many characters so I don't want to create even more.

12. What happens in your favourite episode of show #2?
A favourite episode? Uhm... *long silence... trying to decide...*
Zuko reflects his past and learns what the war of his nation does to the life of innosent people. And Toph becomes friend with Iroh.

13. If you could kill off one of the characters of #1, who would it be and how would you do it?
Kill off? What a cruel question. I never liked Major Armstrong. I know it's supposed to be funny that he keeps showing his strength and muscels off but it's really annoying. So I suppose I wouldn't mind if he gets killed. But me killing him? No...

14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?
Well, there wouldn't be a real Set... but watching the artist draw? Yeah! :)
Unfortunately both series already are at it's end, so I can't watch them beeing created. If I'd had the choice to travel to the past to see how they were done, i think I'd choose R.O.D.

15. So, I saved the best for last. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?
Me dating someone? Normally I really wouldn't want to date the characters I like the most because they're either evil or too serious or too young or female. Maybe Zuko would be the right choice here... he's only slightly too young and only slightly on the wrong side.

Wow... finished already? ;) Only took me three sessions to finish this. ;)

Kommt ganz drauf an.Manchmal mag ich Zuko am liebsten, aber in den letzten Folgen von Buch 2... Wie konnte er jemals wieder seiner Schwester Glauben schenken?
Wenn ich mal wieder gerade über Zuko's Entscheidungen ärgere, ist Toph mir die Liebste.

2. Welchen Charakter aus #4 magst du am wenigsten?
Das wäre dann wohl Ishida. Obwohl er derjenige ist mit den wirklich dümmsten Ideen ("Hey, lasst uns einen Wettkampf starten, bei dem die ganze Stadt zerstört werden könnte, damit ich zeigen kann dass ich toller bin als du"... und "Lasst uns doch kurz mal unseren Feinden helfen, damit ich auch mitkämpfen kann"), ist er trotzdem immer noch als der angeblich klügste Hauptcharakter angelegt?

3. Was würde in einem Crossover von #1 und #5 vorkommen?
Wenn ich so drüber nachdenke, sind sich die beiden Serien doch in mancher Hinsicht ähnlich. Papiermagie, Nichtgreifbarkeit und Unsichtbarkeit könnten einfach als Alchemie aufgefasst werde oder aber die Alchemisten würden einfach auch als I-Jin angesehen. Und Mr. Gentelman hätte den Stein der Weisen gefunden und sei jetzt auf der Suche nach einem neuen Körper als Container für seine Seele
Ach ja, noch eine Gemeinsamkeit: In beiden Serien sind manche der Hauptcharaktere künstlich geschaffene Menschen.

4. Welches Shipping gefällt dir in #6 am besten?
Naja... mmh... ich hab in dieser Serie eigentlich noch nie über die Paarungen nachgedacht.
Was ich wirklich mag ist McKays Liebe zu Samantha Carter, aber ich würde die beiden nie richtig zusammen wissen wollen. Ich mag Ronon nicht sonderlich, also bin ich vom Teyla/Ronon-Shipping, dass die Authoren der Serie wohl andeuten wollen nicht so arg begeistert. Vielleicht dann am ehesten ein wenig Weird/Sheppard...

5. Wenn du eine Person aus #3 mit einer Person aus #6 zusammen auf ein Blind Date schicken könntest, welche wären das?
3 und 6??? Ähm... nuja... Ich hätte keine Sience Fiction Show zu den ganzen Fantasy-Animes packen sollen ;)
Ich kann mir wirklich nicht vorstellen, dass Charaktere aus Inuyasha und Stargate sich treffen würden. Die leben in völlig unterschiedlichen Universen! Nagut... vielleicht wenn einer der Stargatecharaktere in der Zeit zurückreisen würde? Ok... dann lasse ich Teyla in der Zeit zurückreisen um Koga zu treffen. Das würde zumindest mein Problem mit Teyla/Ronon aus der Welt schaffen ;D

6. Wenn du eine Person aus #4 treffen und mit ihr einen ganzen Tag verbringen könntest, welche sollte es sein und was würdet ihr machen?
Das ist schwierig, da ich mir nicht vorstellen kann, einen Tag mit meinen Lieblingscharakteren dort zu verbringen. Vielleicht würde ich einfach ein wenig mit Matsumoto zusammensitzen und mit ihr Sake trinken und über den ewig ernsten Hitsugaya reden.

7. Wenn du eine Sache an der Handlung von #2 ändern könntest, was wäre das?
Zuko würde seiner Schwester nicht noch einmal vertrauen. Ich würde ihn zwar auch (noch) nicht ganz auf der Seite des Avatar sehen und es ist eindeutig zu früh für Zutara, aber ich will ihn auch nicht an Azulas Seite sehen. Sie wird ihn sowieso wieder verraten. Wenn Zuko wirklich so viel an seiner Ehre liegt, muss er endlich gegen seinen eigenen Vater kämpfen.

8. Beschreibe das Verhältnis (nicht zwingend romantisch) zweier Charaktere aus #3 und erkläre, warum du diese Beziehung magst.
Ich mag Sesshoumaru und Rin, weil Rin ihm ein wenig Menschlichkeit gibt, die er niemals zugeben würde und welche ihn verwundbar macht (das mag ich besonders daran). Aber im Gegensatz zu manchen "Sesshy"-Fans, würde ich ihn nie vollständig auf der guten Seite wollen. Keine Familienzusammenführung bitte ;)

Mmh.. wer soll denn der Hauptcharakter von Read Or Die TV sein? Ich denke da muss ich erst die Credits lesen. Ach mist... ich kann kein Japanisch lesen ;) Naja, ok... Ich befürchte ich wäre sowieso nicht in der Lage, Ed aus dem Wasser zu ziehen. Er ist einfach zu schwer mit seinem ganzen Auto-Mail-Metal. Also würde ich wohl eine der Papierschwestern retten.

Ich kenne die Reihenfolge nicht und da ich eh nie drauf achte, würde ich sie wohl einfach gar nicht ändern ;)

11. Wenn du die Möglichkeit hättest, einen neuen Charakter, egal welcher Art, in die Handlung von #4 einzubauen, wie würde dieser Charkter sein und welche Rolle hätte er?
Einen Charakter kreieren? Das würde heißen, ich müsste kreativ sein. Mmh. Ich denke aber Bleach hat fast schon zu viele Charaktere, also würde ich nicht auch noch einen weiteren kreieren wollen.

12. Was passiert in deiner Lieblingsepisode von #2?
Lieblingsepisode? Öhm... *lange Stille... Entscheidungsversuch...*
Zuko denkt über seine Vergangenheit nach und lernt, was der Krieg seiner Nation mit den Leben unschuldiger Leute anstellt. Und Toph freundet sich mit Iroh an.

13. Wenn du einen der Charaktere aus #1 töten könntest, welcher wäre es und wie würdest du es tun?
Jemanden töten? Was für eine brutale Frage.
Ich habe Major Armstrong nie ausstehen können. Ich weiß, dass es lustig sein soll, wenn er immer wieder mit seiner Stärke und seinen Muskeln angiebt, aber es geht mir einfach auf die Nerven. Also wäre ich nichttraurig, wenn er sterben würde... aber dass ich ihn kille? Nein...

14. Wenn du die Chance hättest, das Set If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?
Naja, da gäbe es kein richtiges Set zum Besuchen... aber den Künstlern zusehen beim Zeichnen? Yeah! :)
Unglücklicherweise sind beide Serien schon zum Ende gekommen, also kann ich nicht mehr zuschauen, wie sie entstehen. Wenn ich allerdings dafür in der Zeit zurückreisen würde, würde mich R.O.D. momentan mehr interessieren.

15. So, ich habe mir das beste für den Schluss aufgehoben. Wenn du mit irgendjemandem aus diesen Serien ausgehen könntest, welcher Charakter aus welcher Serie wäre dir am liebsten?
Ich mit jemanden augehen? Normalerweise würde ich nicht mit den Charakteren ausgehen wollen, die ich mag, denn die meisten meiner Lieblingscharaktere sind entweder böse oder zu ernst oder zu jung oder weiblich. Vielleicht ist da auch Zuko am ehesten noch nennen... Er ist nur minimal zu jung und nur knapp auf der falschen Seite.

Story:
Hundreds of thousands of millions of billions of trillions of eons ago, the Essence that created life and the whole univers also created Crysthel, the Crystal Dragon of All Knowledge, the Last of the Old Ones and the most beloved of the Essence's Children, as a final task befor he retreated, back into the Darkness, to fall into a slumber that would last until the End of Times. Crysthel, now alone, was left to wander her new world, and began to spread her wisdom and aid. But the gods, instead of treating this creature with respect and awe, became jealous and afraid...
And so all the gods came together and created an artifact of unspeakable, ancient power. And within this circlet... they trapped Crysthel, but in doing so, they enchanted it in such a way that her Knowledge would not be lost... For whoever wore the band, either god or mortal, they would be transported to Her prison to be granted her Knowledge and Wisdom. But to protect their own authority, the gods created for Crysthel but one law: Each creature was granted ONE QUESTION, and ONE QUESTION only.
The memory of Crysthel and her Creator faded completely from the minds of all, so that her original purpose, to help remind those of where they had really come from, was never fulfilled. But still, Crysthel exists and waits somewhere out there in the world... waiting until perhaps you yourself lay your hands upon her Circlet... and even then, all she will ask you is: What is your Question?
...And now a strange-looking young thief will find himself asking that very question.

Some main characters:

Cheeko (right): She's not actually a character of the comic... she's its author. A long eared humanoid dragon with blue skin and purple, indestructable and variously flavored hair. :)

Crysthel (left): Crysthel is the last of the "Old Ones," or rather, the last Guardian created by the Great Essence. She possesses infinite knowledge, meaning that she quite literally knows everything.

Ranu (left): Ranu first appeared in Silverport two years prior to when the story begins. From what people can gather, he is looking for a long lost friend of his named Keijina. He doesn't like telling anyone what led to their separation or even of his past and where he came from. He also becomes very bitter when speaking of his mother, who he has never forgiven for abandoning him.

Keijina (right): Keijina's current whereabouts are unknown. She is Ranu's best and only friend. In the orphanage where they grew up Ranu was treated as an outcast and bullied by all the other children, except one. This child was callled Keijina, and for some reason she took an intense liking to Ranu, and they became best friends.

Narini (right): Narini came to Nawiern one year ago simply because she was passing through on her journey. However, she was immediately seized and thrown into jail for unknown reasons by General Orson himself, who received the orders anonymously.

Orson (left): Orson was the General of the King's army during the 80 Years War, and when it ended he was very distraught, felt restless and became very irritable. He is highly distrustful of magic, and when he became suspicious of the Court Magician, Mask, he found himself carried to jail by his own troops and without the King's knowledge. Turns out Mask really was up to something, but now it's too late to let anyone know about it. Now he's stuck in a small cell with a very strange inhabitant...

Shroom (right): A fresh runaway on the streets of Silverport. He simply couldn't stand his mother replaying his dead father with a new husband. When he joins a gang of young thieves he here's about a mysterious thieve called Redeye that he idolizes.

Dart (left): The leader of the gang of young thieves that Shroom joins. He has lived in Silverport for his entire life. No one is really sure where he came from or where his parents are; they are assumed to be dead.

My humble opinion:
I really like the character developement of this webcomic. I have a weekness for strange-looking characters with a mysterious, sad past. And another brownie point is the amount of action and dynamic on the pages.
After two complete chapters on 100 pages the story's still just at the beginning so there's still much to tell I suppose. And I'm looking forward to it. :)

Story:
In the five years that Singe has been living on her own now, her biggest problems had been paying the rent for her attic-turned-appartment. But when she meets a man in a bar that seems to know everything about her, her world was turned upside down.
This guy turns out to be an angel, banned to the mortal world and trying to find shelter. And he's not alone. Void, a sarcastic little dragonlike girl that smokes too much, apparently is told to watch over the newly fallen angel. Void explains some things about fallen angels and their accomplices they chose soon after they got to the mortal world, but seems to know more than she tells. Been chosen as such a accpomlice Singe seems to suddenly have two more roommates.

Cast: (copied and altered)
Singe (right) is just trying to get along and maybe figure out a way to tolerate her new housemates (Faustus and Void) in the process. Although she has many acquaintences, Singe has very few actual friends. Few people even know her real name.

Faustus (left) is the equivelant of a fallen angel. He did something that obviously irked somebody and got himself exiled to the physical realm for a few centuries. Unused to having physical form, everything is new for Faustus and it really shows through. But is he really as innocent as he acts?
...he's also started having dreams that may or may not be prophetic.

Void (right) seems to have some kind of beef with the world, and whatever it is, it's left her angry, bitter, and sarcastic. Usually, she'll snap at anything that moves, especially her 'ward,' Faustus, who she's been reluctantly keeping tabs on for a higher power. Despite her callous exterior, Void really does have a wee soft spot for her 'roommates,' and seems to have found a kindred spirit in Ronian, the sentient weapon. Oh, and she smokes like a fish.

Worldsetting:
The backgrounds of the world aidosaur created is slowly revealed in the story of the comic here and there and I don't want to spoil here. So I'll write about the more obvious parts.
The comic is settled in a world very similar to our own but there are differences. The most obvious difference is that not only humans live in the cities. There are also many other humanoid livings in many forms. Tigers, Mice, Birds... or in short... lots of furries live together with humans on this world. And there is an explanation behind it! ;-)

My humble opinion:
I'm really glad that aidosaur found some time for her webcomic again! Fallen angels, furries, characters with dark and/or sad pasts... a combination that's just for me! And all this comes together with an exciting story and a wonderful artstyle. Although aidosaur doesn't like the first 20 pages I think the art is presentable all through.

Right now I'm in the middle of the planing for my sister's birthday party. She really likes to have big parties. She's quite different from me. ;) But I promised that I would introduce a new webcomic this month. For the moment I will only post the main facts but I will write more about it tonight.

This month's webcomic will be...

Story:
Oriyan is confused. Very confused. When he first met Ceria, a young half-elf sorceress, in a tavern, he didn't even know his gender. Although Ceria at this time only had the intention to get drunk and wasn't sure what to think of him, she felt sorry for Oriyan and decided to help him find his memory again. When they discover that he's actually very famous, Ceria begins to regret this decision.

Cast:

Oriyan:
A human fighter who lost his memories and now wanders through the world like a starry-eyed child... a very strong child... that likes shiny things and butterflies... But it seems that his past wasn't quite that innocent at all.

Ceria:
A half-elven sorceress who likes to blow things up with her special blue fire. She's very fiesty and independent and makes her living as a thief.

Thorald:
a self-proclaimed Warrior of Truth and Light that tries to catch Ceria for her thieling. His wish is to prove himself as a paladin by capturing the most villainous people he can find. He also believes he is the sexiest thing ever born.

Krakka:
A Evil Overlord that collects people, particularly ones with special abilities. He hates doing things himself, though, which is why he sends his lackeys out to do his dirty work.

Masao:
A self-pitying water priest who is tyrannised by Krakka who doesn't even bother to remember his name. Therefor he hates his job, his life, and everyone in it.

Some background:
Oriyan is a joint project by Celeste Smith and Jessica Hymas, two college students who study Fine Arts. They take turns in drawing the comic and rotate with each new chapter. The comic is currently in the middle of its third chapter which means it's Celeste turn again.
The two of them created a rather interesting worldsetting. Besides humans and elves there are people of four other races living in this world. The Iante, which developed from half-elves that seperated themselves from the other races long ago, the Delphi, the ancestral guardians of the forest, the Andero, a rare wolf- or catlike race with sometimes rather violent habits aainst their enemies, and the Kalesk, people with strong magic abilities that look a bit like a humanoid form of mice or kangaroos.

My humble opinion:
I really like the confusion that flows around Oriyan because of the loss of his memory. His carefree view of the world turns out to be very amusing.
Like in many other webcomics the drawing of both of them developed over the years. I especially like the developement of the background which was limited to plain white on the first few pages.

Worldsetting:
One day, in a time very much like your own, in a world almost identical to this one, a team of workers were going about their business, digging for precious stones as they always did. But on this fateful day, the dug to deep and discovered...
Oh no, not another being of ultimate power that has been dormant for centuries and is now going to destroy the world as we know it-monster.
(No, guess again)
They stumbled (quite litterally) upon the long since forgotten dwarves, yes these creatures of myth thought to be the result of Tolkien's twisted imagination. They were very much real and had been living underground all this time, blissfully unaware of the on goings of the surface.
After the sudden appearance of the dwarves, the elves sprouted from nowhere and started claiming land for their own.
Wether they were D&D players who had drunk one yoltcola too many or something else, they wanted a piece of our world too and after them came a horde of fairytale creatures of allsorts...
Earth was overwhelmed by these new creatures and all this happened in the space of just one week.

Characters:

Noelle: (left)
Noelle is the heroin of this comic. Being a disappointment to her family in every way she moved to the Human world shortly after its "discovery" hoping for better days. She is quite desperate to be accepted among the humans. When Dusty and Rosie decided to live in her flat with her, it's only hinderance for her.

Dusty: (right)
After being forced to leave the Underground he mostly spent his time either drinking or vandalizing. Upon meeting Rosie the two developed a rare friendship.

Rosie: (left)
Came to Greycity under mysterious circumstances in a briefcase which was stolen from her shortly after she left the plane. She soon met up with Dusty and took to lodging with Noelle.

Tsac: (right)
Works part-time at the bar. First met Noelle on that fateful day of Rosie's arrival. He seems rather young for an elf.

Barman: (right)
Left his dear mother for the city and isn't happy about it. Now runs a bar and makes a mysterious beverage that causes amnesia.

Drel: (left)
Between thefts he collects information for a mystery organization. Upon "finding" some documents in Rosie's briefcase he follows the trail to Noelle and makes the assumption that she is a leader of the elves.
